I’ve been saying I would buy a sliding keyboard phone if someone made one again .
Then someone made one.
Just completed my pre-order.
Thank you to whichever Oppo posted this back in March.

Hmm. I’ll be watching this closely. That’s the exact layout I miss from my Droid 3 days. Keep us posted!
I wish H uewai would just do this with their p30 pro

Good Looking phone.
The last Android phone I owned with a keyboard was a Motorola from like 5 years ago but found I didn’t love it after getting used to the touchscreen keyboard.
I held out longer than most and loved my physical button phones but really do prefer a touchscreen now. For work I had black berries until about a year ago and found them annoying to type on compared to the swipe on an android phone.
I went from Palm to android to blackberry back to android and avoided an iPhone until last year when I got it issued to me by work.

My mom used to need a keyboard, but she’s been used to her Samsung Galaxy S6 that she’s had since 2016.

Yeah I hope I still like it. I hung onto my Droid 4 for a long time, but ultimately it got pretty unusable. I’ve never had a on-screen keyboard I didn’t find frustrating, so I have high hopes for this thing...

Any chance that is available as a Verizon phone? My wife’s Priv is on its last legs and she would really rather replace it with a phone with a physical keyboard.

Interesting. I have a lot of trouble typing on-screen, I dunno why. I never got the 2-thumb action down and my fingers always seem to land in the wrong place .
I’ve found that a combination of touch and swipe on the standard keyboard gets me through . The Swype keyboard had a better implementation years ago than what Google/Samsung offers today , but they didn’t keep up with other features such as the number row and emojis...

Hope so because I’m also on Verizon! Looks like they’ve included CDMA so... probably?

The expression isn’t too odd. It means stop yappin’ and ante up.

Maybe I’m messing up the numbers, but isn’t the snapdragon 835 super old?

but 6gb of ram is pretty good. as long as you have a good battery, but I’m sure it does.

Last physical keyboard phone I had was the HTC Touch Pro (Windows Mobile):
I had shattered the screen on my HTC Touch so had to buy a new one and thought the keyboard would be good since the resistive touch screen on the Touch was terrible, but the touchscreen on the Touch Pro was way better anyway, so it wasn’t really needed. It was fun to play with the slide, and HTC actually built this one well enough to stand up to my fidgeting.

I ve looked into these but I dont have enough $ to be buying a phone on pre-order and dealing with the release bugs. I have a Blackberry key2 Le and I love it, keyboards for lyfe yo. Post an oppo phone review after you have used it a week or so, id definitely look into these if there isnt a key3 sometime next year

Much like automatic transmissions, I've never found one that I didn't feel like I was fighting. Also all we do on our phones is type so I'm not sure why we accept these inferior pieces of shit on screen keyboards.
